To get your finances in order, you will need to earn income through work or business.
You will also need to build a financial house that comprises income protection, like CPP or EI, as the foundation of the house; debt elimination; registered savings such as TFSA and RRSP; stocks and bonds accounts; education fund if needed; emergency fund; then short term, and long-term investments as the roof-top of the house.
Know that term insurance is a better insurance to have, than to buy an expensive or risky life insurance. Practise the principles of debt stacking, paying yourself first, investing early, and compound interest investment.
With
all these, you should be good to go.
